Hey everyone! I’m Ryan Chlebek. Welcome to The Life Well Traveled!!
I was born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts, which you may know from either Battleship Cove, the largest collection of World War II ships in one place, or from the infamous Lizzie Borden axe murder trial, whose house is now a bed & breakfast and has even been ranked #1 haunted house in the United States.
I served 5 years in the United States Army, and interestingly it was during this time my passion for traveling really took off.
Our first assignment to South Korea gave my wife Anthea and I the opportunity to visit countries in Southeast Asia. Then, while on a long 15 month deployment to Iraq, we decided to take our mid-tour leave in Europe, seeing as much as we could in 18 days.
The more we traveled, the more we wanted to see.
Now, we’ve been to over 25 countries and all 50 states, with plenty more in the queue. We recently moved from just outside of DC to Austin, Texas, where I am now working on this website full time.
